Today’s rant is with the makers of diapers. Please stop putting assorted graphics on diapers/pullups. Toddlers will quickly decide that they like one graphic over the other, and will demand their favorite, even when all of the preferred diapers are gone. For instance, Huggies pull-ups has Buzz Lightyear on it, and there are two graphics. One with Buzz and an alien, and the other one with Buzz only. Bay calls this “Just Buzz”, and it is his favorite. It’s difficult, but not impossible, to get him to wear the alien pull-up. I, for one, would pay an extra buck for a box of diapers that didn’t have assorted graphics.
As I watch more kids’ tv with Bay, I notice how sneaky marketers are with kid’s products. Like making puzzles out of the Trix commercials and product line, with clues on how to figure out the puzzle on three separate Trix products.
And while I am complaining about stuff, I have to mention an ad I saw from Philip Morris. It was a commercial describing how to prevent your kids from smoking. I understand the legal obligations that the tobacco co. has now, but it just seems completely bizarre that a company has to advertise against their own product/industry. Something is totally out of whack here.
ok, back to normal business everybody.
