I picked up a pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones<\/a> today for listening to music at home. I used to have a pair of these about 15 years ago, and loved the sound quality. Unfortunately the pleather substance on the earphones disintegrated after a few years and I ended up throwing them away. This was really dumb of me, since you can buy replacement earcushions from Beyer<\/a> that fit perfectly. In fact, people recommend that you replace the Sony earcushions with the Beyer ones immediately. Oh well, that old pair ended up in the trash, but now I have a new pair and I am loving them.<\/p>\n

I have been using my Sony EX71’s for a while now, but the V6’s are in a totally different class. I will just say that they sound so much better than any earbuds I have ever tried. All the music sounds so amazing now! The trade-off is in the size of course. These aren’t very practical for exercise or being out and about, but for relaxing at home in a nice comfy chair, it’s perfect.
