<\/a><\/center>I just watched the first episode of Liar Game<\/a>, a new dorama starring Toda Erika (戸田恵梨香)<\/a>. The first episode was pretty interesting. It’s about a honest (to a fault) girl who gets involved in a game where two contestants get 100 million yen each, and need to try to get eachother’s money. At the end of 30 days, you get to keep any money you might have acquired from the other person, but if you had money taken away from you, you owe the “dealer” that amount. The dealer is some mysterious person, who just appeared on videotape as a masked man of some sort.<\/p>\n
It seems like this is a combination of Trick, Ringu, and Kurosagi. Trick because it’s a psycholgical thriller of sorts, and because of the overall filming style and ambience, Ringu because she watches a creepy videotape, and Kurosagi because a professional swindler, played by Matsuda Shota (松田翔太<\/a>), is one of the main characters.
