I finally finished watching Gokusen 2<\/a> last night. I enjoyed this second installment of the series a lot, although I think it was pretty much a repeat of the first series. The plots were very predictable, and I was thinking that they could have come up with a little more imaginative storylines. It seemed like each story was about a student getting into trouble, getting beat up, and Yankumi saving the day. Having said that, I will say that what made Gokusen 2 fun to watch was the comic acting of Nakama Yukie and vice principal Sawatari, played by Namase Katsuhisa. They are so funny together on screen, both in the Gokusen dramas, and the Trick series<\/a>. Plus, I am amazed at how dorky Nakama Yukie looks in her sweat suit and glasses as compared to when she is at home and looks like a model.<\/p>\n One bad thing about the version of the final episode that I watched last night was that the subtitles were a little off on the timing. They started out ok, but about half way through the story, the subtitles started showing a little early. Not really too bad, but then near the end, a commercial popped up, but the subtitles were still going! So, the subititles were totally off. I ended up watching the final 10 minutes of the series without subs, and I understood pretty good. But I think I will look for the proper subtitle file. I must have just grabbed an older video I think.<\/p>\n Next up is either Hana Yori Dango<\/a>, Tiger & Dragon<\/a>, or Tokyo Wankei<\/a>…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I finally finished watching Gokusen 2 last night.
