Yesterday a box arrived from Amazon.co.jp<\/a> with a bunch of books that Mariko had order, plus three DVD’s. We got Studio Ghibli’s “Umi ga Kikoeru” (\u0160C\u201a\u00aa\u201a\u00ab\u201a\u00b1\u201a\u00a6\u201a\u00e9)<\/a>, Lion King 3 – Hakuna Matata (\u0192\u2030\u0192C\u0192I\u0192\u201c\u0081E\u0192L\u0192\u201c\u0192O 3 \u0192n\u0192N\u0192i\u0081E\u0192}\u0192^\u0192^)<\/a>, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (\u2022\u2014\u201a\u00cc\u2019J\u201a\u00cc\u0192i\u0192E\u0192V\u0192J)<\/a>. We watched about half of Nausicaa last night and it is awesome! What a great story so far! The animation is superb, of course, perfect Miyazaki. As we watched it, I noticed that it followed one of the two themes most Ghibli movies have: flying. Mariko thought that it also followed the other theme: girl’s panties. I disagreed on that point, as I thought Nausicaa was really wearing pants, but Mariko said that she saw panties… But anyways, the flying scenes are neat, and soundtrack is wonderful also. Unfortunately we didn’t make it all the way to the end of the movie, as it was past Bay’s bedtime… Oh well, hopefully tonight we can finish it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
