It was so much fun. Maybe the best thing I liked about living there was the great food! You just can&#8217;t get the same variety and quality here in Austin, not even close. (Although there&#8217;s no Chuy&#8217;s in Tokyo!!!) Now I am not talking about expensive gourmet restaurants, but the whole gamut. Here&#8217;s a few of the foods and drinks I miss:<\/p>\n<p>&#8226;&nbsp;Mr. Donut curry pastry<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Nori-ben at Hokka Hokka Tei<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Shabu shabu at Moo Moo Paradise<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Yakiniku<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Fruits Calpis<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Karaage-kun at Lawson<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Sea-chicken onigiri<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Corn and mayonaisse pizza<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;A big nama-biiru at a beer garden<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Ramen<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Freshness Burger<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Ten-don<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Kaiten-zushi<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Calpis Sour<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Nan-curry dog at Mos Burger<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Jaga-fries at First Kitchen<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Calzone at Cappriciosa<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Churasco in Aoyama<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Croquette burger at McDonald&#8217;s<br \/>\n&#8226;&nbsp;Yakitori<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I loved living in Japan.
