For the past week my skin has been really itchy, and there are small red dots appearing on my thighs and arms. The kind of look like flea bites, but only become bothersome and distracting in the evening. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something I ate, but my diet has been pretty typical since the onset of this. I am hoping it goes away soon, because sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and end up scratching my legs and then I force myself to stop, but then it feels like my legs are on fire. Today I put some Walsporin (Walgreens flavor of Neosporin) on my right arm, and it really helped. I’d rather not use medicine, but if it doesn’t go away soon, it looks like a trip to the doc is in order. Ok, that’s it for this TMI post!

Am I the only one who loves avocados but only if they aren’t warm? Room temperature is fine, but if they are inside a burrito or something, they better not be hot. It just doesn’t seem right to me for some reason. It’s probably just me. 2009 Feb 09
I feel like I am cold-blooded because it seems like I’m always freezing. Or is it that I am extremely hot-blooded? I don’t know, but dang it if everyone around me feels fine, while I have to put on a jacket or two. At home, where we keep the temperature around 74°F in the winter and 78°F in the summer, I’m still cold. Sometimes I feel so cold inside that I can’t sit still and have to get up and move around. Other times, when I am at work and my right hand is bound to the mouse, that hand gets freezing and I have to stick it under the hot water faucet in the restroom. The only positive to this affliction is that when I drink hot tea, I can really feel it warming up my body as well as my spirits and that makes me enjoy it even more. 2009 Jan 30
I was watching the local news this morning, and they had a news ticker scrolling across the bottom of the screen. It looked pretty cool except that they didn’t capitalize any proper nouns. Just the first letter of the sentence was capitalized. I think this is going too far. I’m not usually a stickler for proper grammar, but we’re taught in elementary school to capitalize certain words. It just looked wrong to see “thursday”, “february”, “barack obama”,"america", and “texas” displayed like that. It didn’t look cool, but more like they wanted to be cool. Lame. 2008 Dec 11

For the past couple month I have been enjoying the sandwich price war between Subway and Quizno’s. Their $5 deals have been great. For that price, you could get a footlong Subway or a large Quizno’s. The Subway sandwiches included the Veggie Delite and Tuna sandwich, while the Quizno’s deal included the Tuna. (I don’t eat meat) But today, I went to Quizno’s and they had changed up their menu. The $5 deal applies to their “Deli Favorites” sandwich, of which Tuna (or Veggie) isn’t a part of any longer. Also, they have gone to a 6” or 12” format, ditching their small, regular, or large sizes. So, I spent $5 for a 6” Tuna, whereas before I was getting twice as much. My Konica-Minolta 7D is back at Precision Camera Repair for service. For the third time. While on vacation, the shutter would lock up constantly. The last time I sent the camera in, they sent it back saying they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. But I noticed there was a screw missing, there is some fabric coming out of the remote shutter release socket, and it looks like the sticker with the serial # on it is loose. I am not really sure if this is my original camera. But one thing is for sure, it’s broken. This time I sent in a cd-rom with the camera with many examples of messed up photos. Hopefully they will get it right this time. I am not too impressed with Precision Camera Repair. 2008 Jul 28
