Finally got my Victoria “Brezza di mare” registered. I was assigned the number 926, but you can just put the last two digits on the sails. I think it makes the boat a little more serious looking, and less toy-like. But it’s still a grown-man’s toy!
Our Valentine’s Day was pretty fun. At Bay’s school, they had a great party, with lots of goodies and a fun bingo game. The room mothers did a great job decorating the classroom, and all the kids had a good time. That evening, Mariko prepared an awesome dinner for us. We feasted on cheese fondue for our main course, and chocolate fondue for dessert. I love cheese fondue so much. This time, we dipped crusty French bread cubes, sausages, cauliflower, and apples into the winey, cheesy fondue. The kids had a different cheese fondue, without the wine. For the chocolate fondue dessert, we had marshmallows, kiwi, banana, strawberries, and cheesecake. Needless to say, we were all stuffed!
Here is a CM (commercial) for an Ebi Filet-O Basil sandwich. When I visited, I had to get an Ebi Filet-O. But not with basil. That was a special edition I guess. Maybe next time! And I didn’t see Ebihara Yuri in any McDonald’s I have visited. :( But the sandwich was tasty. I’ll definitely get it again.
I think I am going to start using an online backup service to safeguard all of our home data. On this weeks TWiT podcast (episode 131), they discussed a few options, and it looks like Mozy would be the way to go for us. Carbonite looks pretty good, but they do not backup external hard drives. What a bummer! Jungledisk from Amazon looks good, but with the amount of data I would like to backup, the other services would be cheaper, with Carbonite coming in at $50/year, and Mozy at $59. They both look secure and super-easy to use. Right now, we are backing up to external hard drives, but that is not really safe in the case of fire or theft, plus I am doing it manually, so the latest data is not always backed up. So, it looks like it’s time to move all that online!
Yay, football season is over! The Superbowl was pretty amazing, but I am glad all they hype is over and the real sports season starts. Pitchers and catchers report! The Dodgers look pretty good this year. They didn’t make any big moves besides bringing in Torre, but their young players are looking to have breakout years. Should be interesting! Go Blue!
